Halloween...

...is kind of a bizarre holiday.

I wonder what little children are thinking as they take in all that holiday has to offer.

Oh it's a fun time...but still a bit bizarre.

Hahaha! So true! Love seeing pictures of your cute family. I cannot believe how big everyone is getting over there!

Thank you! It really is the WEIRDEST day of "celebration". I am not a fan.

It pretty much all scares Ashlee. She frightens very easily.

It's a really weird holiday. I hope that I have some influence over how they take it all in... :)

During family council on Sunday we were talking about our Halloween traditions and throwing out suggestions for things to add in. I listed what we usually do. Aaron asked, "Don't you think we need some more traditions for Halloween? It just seems like something is missing." Yeah, something's missing 'cause it's a pretty shallow holiday. Aaron said, "You never hear people say, 'Just remember the true meaning of Halloween, it's not all about the candy and dressing up in silly costumes and candles in pumpkins." No, it really is all about that. Well, at least, I'm trying to keep it about that part rather than the creepy gruesome aspect that I'm really not a fan of! But for what it is, Halloween is a FUN one!
